ClariFi · Schedule Advisors

Accrual schedules your accountant can trust, every month

Investors and auditors expect accrual books: prepaids spread over time, leases on the balance sheet, stock comp expensed over vesting. ClariFi's schedule advisors turn confirmed inputs into monthly schedule lines, and your bookkeeper posts every entry.

How it works

  1. 1

    Your accountant confirms the inputs

The contract term, the lease dates, the grant and vesting terms, the asset's cost and useful life. Nothing is assumed.

  2. 2

The advisor expands them into monthly lines

A deterministic calculation produces each month's lines, handles rounding so the schedule always ties to the total, and shows the variance against the previous run.

  3. 3

    Amendments trigger a re-run

When a contract, lease, or grant changes, the schedule is re-run and the difference is shown, so nothing silently drifts.

  4. 4

    Your bookkeeper posts the entries

Advisors suggest; they never post. Your bookkeeper makes every entry in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Zoho Books, and the books stay in your system.

What the AI does, and what people do

AI proposes; people approve. That split is built into the product, not left to a policy.

The AI drafts

  • Expands confirmed inputs into monthly schedule lines
  • Handles rounding so schedules tie to the total
  • Shows the variance when a schedule is re-run

Your team decides

  • Confirm every input
  • Review each schedule
  • Post every entry in your accounting system

The AI never

  • Posts an entry or writes to your books (enforced by an automated test on every release)
  • Uses a language model to compute amounts
  • Changes a schedule without showing the difference

The schedules

Prepaid amortization

Annual software, insurance, and other prepayments spread over the months they cover.

Leases (ASC 842)

Office and equipment leases on the balance sheet, with the monthly lease schedule.

Stock comp (ASC 718)

Option and RSU expense recognized over the vesting period.

Depreciation

Monthly depreciation from a fixed asset register, with net book value roll-forward and disposals.

Frequently asked questions

Why do startups need accounting schedules?

Accrual accounting spreads costs and revenue over the periods they belong to. Without schedules for prepaids, leases, stock comp, and depreciation, monthly results swing with cash timing, and books need rework before an audit or a fundraise.

Does the AI post journal entries?

No. ClariFi's schedule advisors are read-only by construction, and an automated test enforces it on every release. They suggest the lines; your bookkeeper posts every entry.

Is this AI or a calculator?

The amounts come from deterministic calculations, so the same inputs always give the same schedule. AI helps elsewhere, such as reading contracts for revenue recognition inputs, but never computes the numbers.

What about revenue recognition?

Revenue has its own workflow: an agent reads your customer contracts and proposes ASC 606 inputs with the clause quoted, and a deterministic engine builds the schedule once your accountant confirms them.
