ClariFi · Contract Extraction Agent

Revenue recognition that starts with the contract

Getting ASC 606 right means reading every contract for what you actually promised. ClariFi's contract extraction agent reads each agreement and proposes the revenue recognition inputs, quoting the exact clause behind each one. Your accountant confirms them, and a deterministic engine builds the schedule.

All ClariFi Agents

ASC 606 policy setup is available as a Custom Project. No long-term commitment.

How it works

  1. 1

Your contract goes in the document vault

Upload customer agreements to ClariFi's document vault, or send them to your accountant. Source documents stay referenced in your vault, never copied elsewhere.

  2. 2

    The agent proposes the inputs

It reads the contract and proposes performance obligations and recognition inputs, each with the clause it relied on quoted word for word.

  3. 3

    Your accountant confirms or corrects

Nothing counts until a person confirms it. Your accountant checks each proposal against the contract and fixes anything the agent got wrong.

  4. 4

A deterministic engine builds the schedule

From the confirmed inputs, a rules engine (not a language model) produces the monthly recognition schedule and the revenue journal entries your bookkeeper posts, with a CSV export.

  5. 5

    Your contracts feed your forecasts

Confirmed schedules flow into contracted revenue on your Pro Forma P&L (Growth), and your customer contract register drives backlog and renewal views (Foundation).

What the AI does, and what people do

AI proposes; people approve. That split is built into the product, not left to a policy.

The AI drafts

  • Reads customer contracts and proposes performance obligations
  • Proposes recognition inputs with the supporting clause quoted
  • Explains each proposal with the contract language behind it

Your team decides

  • Confirm or correct every proposed input
  • Approve the recognition schedule
  • Post the revenue journal entries in your accounting system

The AI never

  • Computes the schedule: a deterministic engine does that from confirmed inputs
  • Confirms its own proposals
  • Writes to your books

Frequently asked questions

Can AI do ASC 606 revenue recognition?

AI is good at the slow part: reading contracts and finding the terms that drive revenue recognition. It should not be the one deciding. In ClariFi, the contract extraction agent proposes the inputs with the exact clause quoted, your accountant confirms them, and a deterministic engine computes the schedule, so every number traces back to a contract term a person approved.

Does the AI calculate my revenue?

No. The agent only proposes inputs. Amounts and dates come from deterministic calculations on the confirmed inputs, so the same contract always produces the same schedule.
